President Rashid emphasizes the importance of the Federal Court's role in the constitutional framework

    President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed on Wednesday, the importance role of the Federal Court within the framework of constitutional work.
     
    The Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Republic visited the new building of the Federal Supreme Court in Baghdad, and was received by the President of the Court, Judge Jassim Muhammad Al-Amiri, and members of the court," noting that "at the beginning of the meeting, Rashid congratulated the President and members of the court on the opening of the new building, expressing his wishes for their success and good luck in performing their work duties."
     
    The President stressed, according to the statement, "the importance of the court's role within the framework of constitutional work and enhancing joint cooperation between various state institutions to establish the principle of the rule of law," noting that "the democratic experience in Iraq, despite its short life, has achieved results that we are proud of, and that strengthening democracy is an urgent necessity to prevent unilateral decision-making and dictatorial approaches."
     
     The President touched on "the work of the Presidency of the Republic and its keenness to implement the constitution and adhere to its provisions, and not to violate it as it is the document of the Iraqi people that guarantees their rights," indicating that "violation of the constitution is a violation of the rights of the people."
     
    Rashid stressed "the need for integrated work between state institutions to contribute to the implementation of their work program, and to meet the requirements of citizens by benefiting from expertise in the legislative and executive fields, in addition to ensuring that the law has absolute sovereignty in all our practices, especially in the field of preserving public funds and combating corruption in all its forms and from any party."
     
     For his part, the President of the Court welcomed "the visit of the President of the Republic, and his continuous support for the work of the Court in order to achieve its goals and tasks in monitoring the application of laws constitutionally," stressing "the Court's commitment to performing its constitutional tasks and duties with professionalism and complete independence."
     
    Al-Amiri praised the "role of the President as a protector of the Constitution, and his keenness to enhance the independence of the judiciary and the separation of powers," noting that "the efforts made by the court in the field of establishing the values of justice and implementing federal laws, decisions, regulations and procedures issued by the federal authority, in a manner that preserves political, economic and social rights."
