Yehia Rasool, spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief, stated on Sunday that the situation along the Iraqi-Syrian border is fully under the control of Iraqi forces.
Rasool confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the border is heavily fortified, with both army sectors and Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) deployed.
He added that additional forces are on standby if needed, but emphasized that the border remains secure and reinforced.
He further noted that the border’s security is well-maintained, supported by advanced technical equipment, including thermal cameras and other monitoring devices.
