Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, announced today, Thursday, the resumption of Iraqi Airways flights to Beirut next week.
Al-Saadawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Iraqi Airways will resume its flights to Beirut early next week after the ceasefire agreement."
The Ministry of Transport had previously announced the suspension of Iraqi Airways flights to and from Beirut due to the deteriorating security situation in Lebanon, indicating that "this decision comes within the framework of ensuring the safety of travellers and in line with the ongoing tensions and military operations in the region."
