Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Tuesday, with Iraq’s ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions from around the world, gathered in Baghdad to mark the centenary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and participate in the 8th Ambassadors’ Conference, which took place over the last two days.
“At a dinner reception organized in their honor, the Prime Minister highlighted the achievements of the government’s program over the past two years”, stated the Media Office of the Prime Minister in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
The statement added that “He emphasized the establishment of a positive investment environment that has attracted major international companies to operate in Iraq, contributing significantly to the country’s broad developmental and economic progress”.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani affirmed the vital role of Iraqi diplomatic missions in presenting a true image of stability in Iraq and highlighting the remarkable progress achieved by its people. He pointed to the success of the national population census, carried out simultaneously across all regions of Iraq, reflecting the stability and unity displayed by citizens throughout the process.
The Prime Minister also addressed Iraq’s steadfast and principled positions regarding regional developments and the government’s success in protecting the country from the repercussions of conflicts. He emphasized Iraq’s policy of maintaining balance on both regional and international levels and highlighted the success in concluding the mission of the Global Coalition Against Daesh and the ending of the United Nations’ political mission in Iraq.
Prime Minister listened to remarks from several heads of Iraqi diplomatic missions and urged them to exert maximum efforts in supporting Iraqi citizens abroad, maintaining communication, and providing necessary services.
