Ukraine says Russia has fired an intercontinental ballistic missile toward the city of Dnipro in the country's central east, in the first such attack since the start of the war.
The Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement posted on Telegram on Thursday that "the missile was launched from the Russian Astrakhan region, but the type of missile used has not been precisely determined."
"The missile was launched from Astrakhan and targeted vital infrastructure in the city of Dnipro in central Ukraine,".
The Ukrainian military did not specify whether the attack caused any damage, and Russia refused to deny launching the missile.
The attack comes after Ukraine fired UK-supplied long-range Storm Shadow missiles at targets inside Russian territory for the first time.
