The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool, confirmed on Saturday the directives of the Commander-in-Chief, Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, to continue sending aid to the people of Gaza and Lebanon.
"The committee formed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is continuing its work in collecting donations for the people of Gaza and Lebanon. Since the beginning of the Zionist aggression on Gaza, there has been tireless work to deliver aid to the people there, including thousands of tons of relief, food and medical aid, as well as millions of liters of fuel that have been sent to the besieged people in Gaza," said Major General Rasool to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He added, "Thousands of tons of aid have also been sent to the Lebanese people, including relief, medical and food aid, and the donation collection committee is continuing its work to collect donations from Iraqi citizens for their brothers in Gaza and Lebanon to send aid to relieve the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.
"The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces has directed the continuation of providing humanitarian support to the two brotherly peoples, and the sending is being done in coordination between the Iraqi Red Crescent and its Palestinian and Lebanese counterparts," he stressed.
