Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi confirmed today, Wednesday, that there is great interest from the countries participating in the development road and Al-Faw Port projects. He pointed out that there is a plan to develop transportation in general between Arab and international countries.
The Minister of Transport told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Our presence today is to participate in the 37th session of the annual conference of Arab Ministers of Transport at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Marine Oil, to discuss the future of transport and cooperation between Arab countries in all areas of cooperation, whether land, rail, or sea transport."
He added, "There are several topics for developing transportation in general between Arab and international countries, and a thesis to create a kind of economic integration in the field of transportation, especially since Iraq is working to establish a development road that connects the East to the West, as well as the Grand Faw Port."
He continued: "There is great interest from the countries participating in the development road project and the Grand Faw Port, and certainly the experience of the Arab Bridge Company, which was established by the three countries, Iraq, Jordan and Egypt," noting that "this company has proven great successes and is making continuous progress."
He pointed out that "the Board of Directors was informed of the matter yesterday, and we had meetings with the Ministers of Transport in Egypt and Jordan in the presence of the General Assembly of the Arab Bridge Company," explaining that "the company's latest achievements, the challenges it faces, its increasing growth, and its bright future were reviewed during the meetings."
