Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, arrived on Wednesday in Ankara.
The Council's media office said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “the Chief Justice, Faiq Zaidan, arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, at the head of a high-level judicial delegation, at the official invitation of the President of the Turkish Supreme Court, Ömer Kerkez”.
The statement explained that "the President of the Turkish Supreme Court, Ömer Kerkez, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Ankara, Majid Al-Lajmawi, received the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan."
He added, "Zaidan will hold official talks with Kerkez on a number of joint files between the two sides, and discuss frameworks of joint cooperation in the areas of enhancing judicial and legal cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two neighboring countries."
