PM and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammed S. Al-Sudani held on Fridaya phone call with the son of the martyred Lieutenant Colonel, commending his father's courage and vowing to bring to justice anyone who threatens the safety of Iraq and its citizens.
Al-Sudani delegated on Friday Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani and the head of the Security Committee in Basra, Aqeel Al-Furaiji, to represent him at the funeral of the heroic martyr, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Younis Ubaid, commander of the 1st Regiment / Second Brigade in the Iraqi Federal Police Command. Hailing from Basra, the Lieutenant Colonel was martyred during a confrontation with a drug trafficking gang, according to a statement by the PM Media Office – received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
“May Allah have mercy on the soul of the martyr and all the martyrs of Iraq,” included the statement.
