Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met today, Friday, with President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at Vahdettin Mansion in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The discussions focused on recent regional developments and the growing threat to peace and stability posed by ongoing aggression from the Zionist entity against Gaza and Lebanon, along with its attacks on other nations in the region.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani and President Erdogan discussed unifying their stances on these serious developments and the challenges they present. They urged Arab and Islamic countries, as well as international and United Nations organizations, to support efforts to achieve a ceasefire, facilitate relief operations, deliver aid to those affected by the aggression, as well as launching reconstruction efforts, and protect the Palestinian presence on its historic land.
The meeting also addressed bilateral relations between Iraq and Türkiye, exploring ways to activate memorandums of understanding and joint agreements in various economic and development sectors.
