Acting Speaker of the Parliament Muhsin Al-Mandalawi offered his condolences on Friday for the martyrdom of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, while stressing that resistance is a project that does not end with the martyrdom of leaders.

"Al-Mandlawi mourned to the Arab and Islamic nations, the axis of supporting Al-Quds, the men of the resistance in Palestine and all parts of the world, especially the Hamas movement, the martyrdom of the head of its political bureau, the Mujahid leader Yahya Sinwar, during his heroic clash with the Zionist forces in Rafah," said the media office of the acting Speaker of the Parliament in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

Al-Mandlawi added that "the blood of the nation's leaders and its mujahideen that was shed unjustly and aggressively on the path to Palestine proves the greatness and importance of the cause for which the martyrs sacrificed their lives," noting that "resistance is a project that does not end with the martyrdom of leaders, but rather becomes more deeply rooted and entrenched in the depths of the nation."

"All those who walked this path believe that martyrdom is a path to victory and immortality, and thus a project that does not die," he pointed out.

The Acting Speaker of the Parliament recalled "the rich jihadist history of the leader of the Al-Aqsa Flood and its engineer, the martyr of Islam and Palestine Yahya Sinwar, and the long life he spent between the prisons of the occupation and the field of resistance, until he met God while drenched in his pure blood, defending his religion, land and people, facing forward and not retreating, crowned with the medal of martyrdom for the sake of God as a price for the years of sacrifice and jihad he spent."

"Sinwar's pure spirit will remain present, fighting alongside his people and its nation until the liberation of the land from the occupier, the restoration of rights and the lifting of injustice," he included.
