The English Football Association announced today, Wednesday, the appointment of German Thomas Tuchel as coach of the Three Lions national team.
"Tuchel will take over as England manager from January 1, 2025, succeeding interim manager Lee Carsley," the FA said in a statement.
"Tuchel will be assisted in his new role by English manager Anthony Barry.".
The FA said in a statement, "The agreement with the German coach was finalized last week, with the 51-year-old signing his contract on October 8. The official announcement was postponed until after the end of the international break to avoid distracting the players.".
Tuchel is set to continue working with the Three Lions until the end of the team's journey in the 2026 World Cup.
