The Advisor to the Prime Minister Hussein Flamers confirmed on Saturday, that the Development Fund has provided the private sector with unprecedented support, while identifying two key conditions for further developing the sector.

In a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Flamers said: “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani endorsed the First National Forum for the Private Sector, organized by the Department for Private Sector Development in the Ministry of Trade, in cooperation with Bait Bayt Al-Hikma (house of wisdom) for Training and Consulting.”

He emphasized that “such meetings put us at the forefront and on the right path to advancing the private sector.”

Flamers highlighted the importance of learning from the experiences of other countries that have successfully developed their private sectors. He stressed the need for a “one-stop window” that would enable those working in the private sector to operate efficiently and ensure the process runs smoothly.
He also pointed out that the governmental program presented by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani actively supports the private sector.

He added, “The Iraqi Development Fund has provided the private sector with unparalleled support, but legislative measures are still needed.”

Falamrz stressed that enhancing and intensifying laws and regulations is a crucial step toward the private sector’s development. He also mentioned that financial services, banking, the simplification of procedures, and the provision of services are all part of supporting the private sector. This support hinges on two essential conditions: first, simplifying procedures, and second, reducing the efforts required.
