The French Parliament rejected, on Wednesday, a proposal to remove President Macron.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "The Legislative Committee in the French National Assembly widely rejected the proposal to remove President Emmanuel Macron, which was submitted by the France Un Insurgent Party," noting that "the proposal was rejected by 54 votes to 15."
He stated that "the opposition leftist party had criticized Macron for what it described as his lack of respect for the results of the legislative elections, which prompted him to submit this proposal."
He explained that "despite the uproar caused by this step, the Legislative Committee did not consider that there was sufficient justification to continue the impeachment procedures, which led to the proposal being rejected by a large majority."
