Ministry of Education announces inclusion of artificial intelligence in school curricula

    The Ministry of Education announced on Saturday, the incorporation of artificial intelligence into school curricula, along with the introduction of new departments for vocational education.
     
    Kareem Al-Sayed, spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, stated to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the ministry is implementing a range of initiatives aimed at enhancing scientific thinking among students and encouraging their development and innovation through new concepts and terminology in the curricula.

    He added that these initiatives encompass classroom activities, examples from abroad, and assessments designed to assist teachers in effectively evaluating their students' abilities. Among the contemporary subjects to be introduced is artificial intelligence, alongside other advanced technologies.

    Al-Sayed emphasized that the Prime Minister places great importance on vocational education, noting that the ministry is collaborating with international organizations to strengthen this sector. New departments have been added, including physical education, as part of the vocational education programs to enrich the learning experience for students.

    Furthermore, the Minister of Education has directed that vocational education schools be renovated and provided with necessary educational supplies to elevate the standards of vocational training in Iraq.
