The South Gas Company-SGC announced Wednesday, the entry into force of the integrated gas development project in the Artawi field, noting that the development of integrated gas in the Artawi field is a great opportunity to invest local manpower in various fields.
The deputy director of the Artawi department, Kadhem Wadi, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The youth cadres, after the entry into force of the integrated gas development project in the Artawi field, will work with companies that operate according to the global system, and thus the inverted generations will work and continue on the scale of global regulations in the field of oil and gas sector."
Wadi added that "the cooperation between the South Gas Company and Total, the operator of the field, is through multiple committees, and there is a cooperation described as great by the federal government and the Ministry of Oil in addition to the South Gas Company to facilitate the tasks of the joint cooperation process to implement the project in accordance with the approved plans and studies," explaining that "these tasks are represented by the procedures for the acquisition of land associated with several departments.”
"Work is underway to develop appropriate solutions regarding the intersection with companies, represented by pipelines extending from Rumaila North and South to ports for export and others, as well as linking dry gas pipelines with the conveyor network, as well as pipelines carrying gas intended for (cooking) and others for transporting condensate," he said, noting that "the committees are continuing their work regarding the stage of land acquisition and obtaining approvals from the authorities through which these pipelines pass."
