The match between the Iraqi Al-Shorta FC and the Saudi Al-Nasr FC kicked off a short while ago at the International City Stadium in Baghdad, Iraq as part of the first round of the AFC Champions League for elite football.
The match ended with a draw 1-1. Captain Sultan Al-Ghannam scored the first goal - minute 13 - and shortly after Muhammed Dawoud scored the draw goal - minute 23.
Closing all the area for Al-Nasr strikers Sadio Mané and Talisca, Al-Shorta relied on counterattacks and long balls behind the defenders, one of which Mohammed Dawood almost faced the goalkeeper, had he not been obstructed outside the penalty area by the Al-Nassr defender. The two teams settled for a draw at the half-time break.

The coaches of the two teams tried to use substitutes to change the result without any change in performance and style, after which the Kuwaiti referee's whistle announced the end of the match.
