Higher Committee for Construction and Investment meeting, chaired by PM Al-Sudani

    INA - BAGHDAD

    PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani chaired on Monday a meeting of the Higher Committee for Investment and Construction where key investment project files were reviewed.

    The committee discussed "strategies for enhancing investment across various economic and development sectors. Agenda items were thoroughly examined, and the necessary decisions were made to advance these initiatives," according to a statement by the PM Media Office - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    During the meeting, the Prime Minister reiterated his previous directives "to ensure that decisions align with the economic reform agenda, which is one of the government's key priorities."

    Al-Sudani emphasized "the importance of advancing the government's plans for implementing strategic and developmental projects, particularly in the housing sector."

    The meeting approved a private sector proposal to establish a specialized surgical hospital in Al-Diwaniyah province, as well as a project to develop the presidential palace area in Basra, Iraq along with the issuance of the relevant investment license. 

    The committee also approved several investment projects and residential real estate development projects on serviced lands in Wasit province, including related public service buildings and infrastructure.
