Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed Al-Mubarqa affirmed on Tuesday, that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' Al-Sudani is committed to empowering the Paralympic champions in their pursuit of further achievements.
A statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "Al-Mubarqa welcomed the Paralympic Committee delegation at Baghdad International Airport following their successful participation in the Paris Paralympics, where they secured five medals, including one gold, one silver, and three bronze."
According to the statement, Al-Mubarqa emphasized that "the accomplishments of the Paralympic champions on the global stage represent a significant achievement for Iraqi sports, adding to the distinguished results of the committee, which has consistently earned various medals in its previous participation."
He further noted that "this achievement is a source of pride for Iraqi sports, and reaffirmed that individuals with determination deserve our full support and assistance to continue their success and raise Iraq’s flag high in international competitions."
He emphasized the "Iraqi government's support, led by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' Al-Sudani, for these champions in recognition of their contributions and accomplishments for Iraqi sports."
