Dhi Qar judiciary, UNITAD discuss archiving ISIS crimes

The President of the Dhi Qar Court of Appeals, Ali Abdul Ghani, held discussions today with the Investigative Team to Promote Accountability for Crimes Committed by Da'esh/ISIL (UNITAD) regarding archiving ISIS crimes.

According to a statement from the Judicial Council, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Judge Ali Abdul Ghani, President of the Dhi Qar Court of Appeals, welcomed the UNITAD international investigation team."

The statement further noted that "the President of the Court of Appeals expressed his appreciation to the international investigation team for their invaluable assistance in archiving legal cases concerning the crimes perpetrated by ISIS terrorist gangs."
