Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Saturday the seizure of more than 20,000 Captagon pills in Anbar Province.
The Directorate stated in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA that,"The operation was launched based on precise intelligence from the 5th Division’s Intelligence Unit. During the raid, military intelligence forces targeted a drug traffickers hideout in the Al-Daba'a area of Rutba district. The Captagon pills were discovered concealed in a plastic container, ready for smuggling".
Authorities have since handed over the seized drugs to the appropriate agencies, following legal protocols.
