Military Intelligence seizes more than 6,000 narcotic pills in Anbar

Directorate of Military Intelligence announced on Monday, the seizure of more than 6,000 narcotic pills in Anbar Province.

A statement to the Directorate's media, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that, "With a proactive operation and a distinguished intelligence effort, and according to accurate intelligence information from the Fifth Division of the Directorate, and in cooperation with intelligence and a force from the Nineteenth Brigade and a detachment from the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Department, a large amount of drugs was seized Narcotic pills in the north of Al-Dabaa district of Al-Rutba district in Al-Anbar province.”

The statement pointed out, "More than 6,000 Captagon pills were seized in the form of 30 bags with more than 200 pills per bag inside, and they belong to a drug dealer in the aforementioned area."

It added, "The seized items were handed over to the competent authority."
