Iraqi PM Adel Abdul Mahdi received on Saturday, the Special Representative for the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq - UNAMI, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert.
Abdul Mahdi praised the humanitarian role played by UNAMI in the country and the support it provides to the government to enhance the coexistence between Iraqis and maintain security around the country, as well as helping the IDPs returning home.
Plasschaert asserted the given support to the Iraqi government and the plans and programs that focus on stability, reconstruction, reconciliation and services.
She also expressed the relief towards the stable situations of Iraq and offered her thanks for the mutual cooperation and the facilities that the government is providing to UNAMI.
Plasschaert also presented a report regarding her visit to KRG and other several areas in the country during the first month of her mission.
