The Head of the Football Association, Adnan Darjal, set the date for the start of the Iraqi Premier League for the 2024-2025 season and its place of launch today, Wednesday, while stressing that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani supports the national team.
Darjal told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "The twentieth of next month will witness the opening of the Iraqi Premier League matches at Dohuk Stadium."
He added on the other hand, that "the opening of the La Liga headquarters in Baghdad will be on the twenty-first of next month in the presence of the President of the Spanish League, Javier Tebas," stressing that "qualifying for the World Cup is everyone's dream and we must all work together to achieve it."
He pointed out that "there is a great governmental effort to support the national team by the Prime Minister."
