3 arrested in Babil for drug use

The Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday, the arrest of 3 people accused of drug use in Babil Province.

A statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the Fourth Regiment/Third Brigade of the Rapid Response Division Command in the Ministry of Interior was able to arrest 3 suspects in possession of crystal meth, Captagon pills and drug paraphernalia in Al-Qasim District, Babil Governorate."

It added that "the arrest of the suspects came while they were trying to cross one of the Rapid Response Division's checkpoints, as the division's detachments were able to arrest them during the search and inspection process, in coordination with the Rapid Response Intelligence Department," indicating that "the suspects were handed over to the competent authorities in accordance with the law."
