Rashid hands Adnan Al-Shammari the presidential decree designating him as Governor of Diyala

    The presidential decree designating Adnan al-Shammari as governor of Diyala was given to him by President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid on Thursday.

    "The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, the elected governor of Diyala, Adnan Al-Shammari," the Presidency said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    It said, "Rashid gave the governor the presidential declaration appointing him."
