Army Chief of Staff oversees Ashura Security Preparations in Karbala

A high-level security delegation led by Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, visited Karbala on Saturday to oversee security measures for the upcoming Ashura pilgrimage.

The media office of the Karbala Governor announced that "General Abdul Amir Yarallah, accompanied by senior military leaders, arrived in the Holy Karbala Province." The statement added.

During the visit, Yarallah held talks with the governor, the head of the provincial security committee, Thaer Al-Taie, the Karbala Operations Commander, the Karbala Police Chief, and the General Supervisor of the Abbas Combat Division.

The discussions focused on the security measures and preparations underway to ensure the safety of millions of pilgrims expected to visit Karbala for the Ashura commemoration.
