Our national team heads to Jakarta to face its Indonesian counterpart

    The delegation of our national team will leaves us, this Saturday evening to the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, for its upcoming match against Indonesia on the sixth of this month in the fifth round of the preliminary qualifiers for the World Cup and the Asian finals. 

    The media coordinator for the national team, Muhammad Imad, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Our national team will leave this evening from Baghdad airport via a private plane to the capital, Jakarta, to play its upcoming match against Indonesia on the sixth of this month to calculate the fifth round of the preliminary qualifiers for the World Cup.” And the Asian finals.

    He added, "More than two-thirds of the team's players will leave with the delegation from Baghdad, while the remaining players will join the delegation directly in Jakarta," noting, "The professional players who will join the delegation and who arrived today in Baghdad are (Zidan Iqbal, Hussein Ali, and Osama) Rashid, Youssef Al-Amin, Safaa Hadi, and Bashar Rassan), while the rest of the professionals will join the delegation directly in the capital, Jakarta, and they are the professional in the Australian league, Muhammad Al-Taei, in the Swedish league, Amir Al-Amari, in the Danish league, Marco Faraj, and in the Korean league, Rebin Sulaqa.”

    He explained, "The team will go through four training units, one evening training unit daily, before officially facing Indonesia on the sixth of this month," stressing, "The team will return to Basra on the seventh of this month, where it will host Vietnam at the Trunk of Palm Stadium on the eleventh of this month in the last rounds of preliminary qualifying.”
