MOID: 125 IDPs returned to Salah al-Din

    The Ministry of Immigration and Displacement announced today, Tuesday, the return of 125 displaced families to their areas of residence in Salah al-Din Governorate.

    The director of the Immigration and Displacement Branch in Salah al-Din, Khaled Mahjoub Jassim, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “This evening, we recorded the return of 125 displaced families to their original areas of residence on the outskirts of the Dujail al-Shihabi and Al-Ajiliya districts, and part of these families to the Zur al-Bahshmah area of ​​the Yathrib district.”.

    He added, "The voluntary return took place after the families registered the names in the camps for the purpose of return, and we will continue to support these families and coordinate with the local government in Salah al-Din Governorate for the purpose of providing services in their areas.".

    Mahjoub added, “The Ministry of Immigration and Displacement was responsible for distributing a grant amounting to four million to these families during their exit from the camp, in addition to distributing durable goods, a refrigerator, a cooker, and a television set. The Ministry was also responsible for transporting these families and returning them to their original areas, and there is great cooperation from the security forces holding the land and the security agencies is represented by National Security, Intelligence, Federal Police, and the Popular Mobilization Forces.”.

    He continued, "This is the fourth batch of returnees, and their return was very smooth and had no problems, in addition to the fact that most of their areas are open, and there is coordination by the Salah al-Din Immigration Branch with international organizations for the purpose of providing families with sums for the purpose of restoring their homes, whether destroyed or damaged, through signing a contract with the organization, so that the citizen owner of the house can carry out the rehabilitation or reconstruction of the house, and the amount will be disbursed in stages.”
