Al-Mandalawi calls for the activation of laws guaranteeing workers ' rights

The acting speaker of the parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, on Wednesday, congratulated the workers of Iraq on the occasion of their international holiday, calling on the Government to activate the laws guaranteeing their rights.

Al-Mandalawi said " We send greetings of love, respect and appreciation to the workers and all the sincere hands that contributed to the construction of the homeland, understanding the inexhaustible wealth, and without them no reform or reconstruction will be achieved " ,stressing that "the House of Representatives supports the advancement of the public and private sectors and encourage development in the country”, according to a statement released by the acting speaker's media office and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA). 

Al-Mandalawi called on the Government to" activate the laws guaranteeing the workers' segment, especially the Social Security Law, the Industrial Development Law and the labor law, which included provisions that address workers' problems and fairness, and oblige investment companies to local employment rates " , expressing the keenness of the House of Representatives to approve legislation that contributes to protecting the working segments and raising their living standard ”.
