The National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, and the National Security Advisor to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Faiza Abu Al-Naga, stressed today, Wednesday, the importance of reducing the escalation in Gaza Strip and restoring the right of the Palestinians to establish their independent state.
The media office of the National Security Advisor said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, met, on the sidelines of the twelfth meeting of senior officials on security issues, which was held in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, with the National Security Advisor to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Faiza Abu el-Naga.
"During the meeting, the brotherly historical relations between Iraq and Egypt were reviewed, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially security and intelligence cooperation and combating terrorism."
According to the statement "the meeting witnessed praise for the visit of the Prime Minister, Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani, to the brotherly Republic of Egypt, which reflected Iraq's keenness to develop and consolidate relations in the interest of the two brotherly countries and peoples."
Al-Araji stressed "The importance of reducing the escalation in Gaza Strip and restoring the right of the Palestinians to establish their independent state."
