PM Chairs a Meeting with Service Departments in Al-Anbar Province

    Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani confirmed today, Wednesday, that working on projects without completing the infrastructure is a waste of money.
     
    Prime Minister’s Media Office stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani presided over a meeting today, with the heads of service and executive departments in Al-Anbar Province at the provincial council building, attended by the Governor of Al-Anbar, members of the Al-Anbar Council, and several deputy ministers.
     
    The meeting reviewed the province's service plans and projects across various sectors, addressing the main issues and obstacles to project implementation. Prime Minister Al-Sudani directed the concerned parties to expedite these projects to meet their scheduled completion dates.
     
    Discussions included projects undertaken by the Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorist Operations, prioritized by the government. The meeting also addressed the needs of the victims and martyrs, with the head of the Martyrs Foundation present, emphasizing that compensations should reach their rightful recipients.
     
    Prime Minister Al-Sudani announced several service projects for the province, including:
     
    1. Sewage and rainwater drainage projects in Ana district costing 101 billion dinars and in Kabeisa at 108 billion dinars.
    2. Directed the Ministry of Health to complete the requirements for the following projects under the Iraq-China agreement:
       - A 200-bed gynecology and pediatrics hospital in Fallujah.
       - A 100-bed hospital in Khalidiya.
    3. Directed to resolve issues regarding the execution of the Al-Rahaliya water project.
     
    Prime Minister Al-Sudani highlighted the sacrifices of Al-Anbar’s citizens in fighting terrorism along with security forces and their role in moving towards service and reconstruction. He affirmed the government's support for the local government to ensure the success of its operations, including a ministerial and advisory team that will oversee progress during each provincial visit to address key files and challenges.
     
    He reiterated the government's plan to build new hospitals due to the old infrastructure in Al-Anbar's districts, complete the Olympic stadium and its facilities by the end of the year, and address the incomplete sewage projects in the province's center, emphasizing that proceeding with projects without completing the infrastructure constitutes a waste of funds.
