Sayyid Al-Hakim: We reaffirm our support for PM visit to Washington

The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, renewed on Tuesday,  his support for the Prime Minister’s visit to Washington.
 
Sayyıd Al-Hakim said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “Today we met with the new Australian ambassador to Baghdad, Glenn Miles  and we expressed our wishes for success for His in heading his country’s diplomatic mission in Iraq. We also exchanged views on developing relations between Iraq and Australia, and welcomed his desire to Australian companies to enter Iraq and benefit from the promising opportunities that Iraq offers in several fields.”
Sayyıd Al-Hakim added, "We renew our support for the Prime Minister's visit to Washington and expressed our hope that the visit will achieve the desired results, while we stressed the importance of Iraq's stability for the security, stability and safety of the region."
 
The statement continued, "We also renew the call for a ceasefire in Gaza, and the necessity of providing relief to the displaced, bringing in aid, and rebuilding the city," calling on "the international community to end the state of double standards in dealing with the tragic and catastrophic reality in Gaza."
