Al-Mandalawi: The Iranian response to targeting the consulate is a natural and legitimate right

    Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, confirmed today, Sunday, that the Iranian response to targeting the consulate is a natural and legitimate right guaranteed by international laws and regulations.
      
    Al-Mandalawi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the targeting of its consulate in Syrian capital, Damascus, is a natural and legitimate right guaranteed by international laws and regulations,” indicating that “the Zionist entity has gone too far in violating these conventions, and has exceeded its limits of during his blatant transgression of the sovereignty of a number of countries in the region, to the point of attacking diplomatic missions, it was necessary to restrain and deter him and not allow him to go further than that.”
    He added, "At a time when we congratulate and praised the Iranian operation deep into the occupied Palestinian territories, which came in response to the targeting of its consulate in Damascus by the Zionist entity, we affirm that the Arab and Islamic peoples have the right to defend themselves and their interests in the face of the attacks of the occupation forces, and we call on them to continue their support and attribution for the resistance and the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.”
    The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives renewed his “condemnation and denunciation of the Zionist genocidal crimes against the women, children and elders of Palestine, and  continued targeting of hospitals, schools, infrastructure and civilian gatherings, and his prevention of the entry of aid into Gaza Strip,” adding that “Tofan Al-Aqsa was a pivotal step and a qualitative shift in the history of the conflict with the occupier, and that free peoples will not stand idly by in the face of the crimes that occur.”
    Al-Mandalawi called on the international community to "stop Zionist barbarism and oblige the occupier to respect the laws in order to defuse the Great War."
