Central Criminal Court: execution of 6 drug dealers, including foreign

The Central Criminal Court issued , on Sunday,  a death sentence against 6 drug traffickers, including 3 with foreign citizenship.

The Supreme Judicial Council – SJC stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that " 4 convicts, including a foreign convict working within an international network engaged in promoting the narcotic substance marijuana, were seized with 2,800 kilograms".

"The other convicts with foreign citizenship were seized in possession of 5 kg of opium and various narcotic substances, in addition to 5 kg of the narcotic substance methyl amphetamine "the statement added.

" The sentences were issued based on the provisions of Article 27/ I of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances law No. 50 of 2017and the indication of articles 47, 48 and 49 of the Penal Code" the statement continued.
