Al-Mandlawi calls for speeding up revealed circumstances of the run - over accident and called for securing schools’ surroundings

     Acting Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi demanded, on Wednesday, to speed up the disclosure of the tragic accident circumstances, while calling for securing the Iraq's schools’ surroundings.

    A statement issued by the Acting Speaker of Parliament Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that  " Acting Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi , conducted a number of calls  with the concerned authorities in Basra province, to find out the circumstances of the incident " , indicating that " he offered his condolences to the families of the victims, and his wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded students ”.

    Al-Mandalawi called for " speeding up the disclosure the investigation’s results of the incident of running over students in Al-hartha district, north of Basra governorate, in light of the committees formed yesterday, to find out and hold accountable the negligent in this tragic incident, and to mobilize possible medical services to treat the wounded " expressing his readiness to "send critical cases for treatment outside Iraq if necessary”.

    Acting Speaker of Parliament called on “all governors to securing the schools’ surroundings and take measures for complete safety, by imposing safe transit zones and Footbridges, in addition to the necessary coordination with the General Traffic Directorate and the concerned authorities, with regard to preventing large trucks from passing on the roads surrounding schools during official working hours, and obliging all vehicles at a specific speed not allowed to exceed while walking near schools and populated areas".
