The head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Falih Al-Fayyadh, and the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Kazim Al Sadiq, stressed today, Wednesday, the importance of strengthening security cooperation between the two countries.
A statement by the Popular Mobilization Forces received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: “The head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Falih Al-Fayyadh, received the Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Muhammad Kazim Al Sadiq.
"During the meeting, they discussed the security situation in the region and the importance of coordinating joint efforts in confronting challenges. The two sides also discussed the file of enhancing cooperation to establish security and maintain stability."
According to the statement "The Iranian ambassador praised the role played by the Popular Mobilization Forces in confronting terrorism and securing the borders, stressing his country's keenness to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields."
