La Liga rejects Real Madrid's request regarding Vinicius

The Spanish League rejected today, Thursday, Real Madrid’s request to cancel the yellow card received by Brazilian Vinicius Junior against Osasuna.

Referee Martinez Munuera showed a yellow card to Vinicius because of his protest, which means that the Brazilian striker will not participate against Athletic Bilbao in La Liga. Due to the accumulation of cards.

According to the newspaper "Marca", Real Madrid tried to convince the Competitions Committee to withdraw the yellow card, and Real Madrid complained in its claim about the "campaign of hatred" against its player, with insults such as "Vinicius is dying."

The newspaper explained, “Real Madrid stated that Vinicius’s reaction was due to repeated insults towards him,” and during his 20 participation in La Liga, Vinicius received five yellow cards. Which means his absence against Athletic Bilbao on March 31, in the 30th round of La Liga.

This season, Vinicius Junior played 28 games with Real Madrid, in which he scored 18 goals, made eight assists, and received eight yellow cards.

Real Madrid leads the La Liga table with 72 points from 29 matches, and is eight points ahead of second-place Barcelona.

After facing Athletic Bilbao, Real Madrid will host its rival, Manchester City, on April 9, in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
