President Rashid emphasizes the strength of relations between Iraq and Italy

Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the President of the Republic, emphasized  on Sunday the importance of coordination and consultation to enhance security and stability in the region.

"The president of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today at al-salam Palace in Baghdad , the Italian ambassador to Iraq, Maurizio Greganti ", Media Office of the Republic Presidency stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

President of the Republic ,during the meeting,  stressed on “the strength of the relations that unite Iraq and Italy, and the need to continue the work to strengthen them in areas of mutual interest" .

He pointed that "It is important to coordinate and consult to strengthen security and stability in the region, and to make more efforts to ease tensions and stop the war on Gaza".

For his part, ambassador Maurizio Greganti expressed "his country's keenness to strengthen existing relations with Iraq, and Italy's support for the stability, security and safety of Iraq's citizens".
