Border Ports Commission - BPC announced the arrest of a foreign traveler who was found in possession of approximately (2) kg of narcotic antidote substance at Safwan border crossing.
A statement by the Commission received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that “On Sunday , Safwan border directorate was able to seize a foreign traveler in possession of a narcotic antidote weighing (1940) grams seized in his suitcase and tried to smuggle it to a neighboring country, indicating that the operation was carried out in cooperation with the Support services ”.
The statement added “ thorough seizure report was organized and the accused was referred with the seizures to the drugs and Psychotropic Substances division in Safwan to receive his fair punishment accordance to the law”.
