The Border Ports Commission BPC announced on Sunday arresting a foreign traveler in possession of narcotic pills at the Zarbatiya border port.
A statement by BPC received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the Border Ports Commission continues to seize drugs and prevent their passage through its ports, where a foreign traveler was caught in possession of narcotic pills of various types, totaling (585) pills."
"The seizure was carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Division, the Port Protection Force and the Customs Police Drug Detachment before entering the passenger terminal," the statement said.
"A committee was formed, a seizure report was organized, and the accused was referred to the Badra Drug Control Division to take appropriate legal action," it said.
