Al-Mandalawi: Parliament supports fair legislation for victims' families of Halabja massacre

Acting Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, confirmed on Saturday, that Parliament supports fair legislation for the families of the victims of Halabja massacre.
 
Al-Mandalawi said in a statement issued by his media office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We remember with great pain the 36th anniversary of the massacre committed by the dictatorial Baath regime against the residents of the city of Halabja, using chemical weapons whose use is internationally prohibited even during wars, and which caused the martyrdom of thousands of the innocent and defenseless people, most of them are children."
 
Al-Mandalawi stressed "the full support and keenness of Parliament to legislate any law of achieving social justice, justice for the families of the victims."
