Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani hosted today, Thursday, a Ramadan Iftar dinner in honor of the elderly residents at Al-Rashad and Al-Suleikh senior citizens homes.

The Prime Minister extended Ramadan greetings to the attendees, praying for their well-being and for all Iraqis, and wishing success for all efforts aimed at serving the country.

Prime Minister Al-Sudani listened to the residents' needs, concerns, and suggestions, directing immediate follow-up on their issues. He emphasized that in all meetings with officials and advisors, he insists on providing the best services to the senior citizens homes that shelter our elderly mothers and fathers who have devoted years of their lives serving Iraq, whether in public service or the private sector. He urged the senior citizens home staff to offer the necessary care to this important group.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the event is a testament to the state's and its citizens' gratitude to this segment of our society, emphasizing that the provided services are favors but obligations. He affirmed the government's dedication to upholding its duty to serve the elderly.

Al-Sudani assured the government's commitment to ensuring a comfortable environment, including proper housing, food, and healthcare, for the elderly in senior citizens homes. He announced plans to send a group of the elderly residents on pilgrimage to Hajj and Umrah, following a similar initiative from the previous year.
