Lebanese Economy Minister: We count on Iraq's support and the Prime Minister's initiative in reconstruction

Lebanese Economy Minister Amin Salam confirmed today, Wednesday, that the Lebanese government counts on Iraq's support in reconstruction, while he extended his thanks on behalf of the Lebanese people to the Iraqi government and people for their continuous support to Lebanon.

Salam said in a statement to Al-Iraqiya News - followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We count on Iraq's support and the Iraqi Prime Minister's initiative in reconstruction."

He added, "Iraq did not abandon Lebanon, and we appreciate the Prime Minister's initiative in reconstruction, and we thank the Iraqi government and people for the efforts and continuous support for Lebanon."

Salam continued, that "serious work has begun towards the second phase of saving Lebanon."
He pointed out that "the American side is serious about stopping the ceasefire to reach the stage of peace."
