Najaf Criminal Court sentences life imprisonment for drug dealer

The Najaf Criminal Court issued ,on Thursday, life imprisonment sentences against a drug dealer .
 
The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that ""the convict was seized in possession of 355 grams of the narcotic substance methylamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and sale among users".
 
" The sentence was issued based on the provisions of Article 28/I of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances law No. 50 of 2017" the statement added.
