The Prime Minister's Media Office announced the most prominent projects launched by the Prime Minister in Basra.
The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) “The third phase of key projects aimed at enhancing Al Madina district's infrastructure within the Basra Governorate, initiated by Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani on Sunday morning, includes”:-
- Constructing networks for sewage and rainwater.
- Constructing primary roads and extending pipes for potable water, benefiting the seven largest residential areas in the district.
- Constructing and upgrading the electrical power distribution and communications network.
- Establishing a medical city named after the martyr Ezzedine Salim, including:
- A 100-bed hospital.
- An advanced center for cancer treatment.
- A 50-bed thalassemia and blood disease center.
- A kidney dialysis center.
- Creating 3 model health centers for primary care to serve the district's inhabitants and surrounding areas.
