Prime Minister's Transportation Advisor, Nasser Al-Asadi, affirmed today the highly critical need for The Development Road at both regional and global levels. He pointed out extensive coordination and discussions with the Turkish side regarding the project.
Al-Asadi, speaking to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, 'The developmental road project has become an urgent necessity due to the political changes in the region, ongoing wars, and their impact on waterways that transport goods between Europe and Asia and vice versa.'
He added, 'There is urgency from all countries worldwide for secure passages, and the Iraqi road is a very safe and short passage, saving time and costs. Hence, it has become a mandatory requirement for implementation.'
He also highlighted, 'There is extensive coordination and discussions with the Turkish side regarding The Development Road Project, which has become the sole solution for the transit of goods amid the current political situation in the region.'"
