Karkh Criminal Court: A terrorist sentenced to death on targeting security forces

A terrorist who targeted the security forces was given the death penalty by the Karkh Criminal Court on Monday. 
 
 In a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Supreme Judicial Council's media office declared that "a leader belonging to terrorist gangs received a death sentence for the crime of targeting security forces" 
 
"The criminal was handed over to the Iraqi forces after being arrested in one of the European countries," the statement continued. "He is wanted for carrying out sectarian displacement and armed operations in 2023 in Babil province."  
 
"The Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13's Article II/1, 3 and 4 provisions were the foundation upon which the verdict was rendered.
