Al-Sudani Meets a Group of Anbar PMF

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Saturday, the government’s support for the security services in general, while indicating that there will be special support from the government and concerned authorities for the men of Anbar Mobilization Forces.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Saturday, with a group of the Anbar Popular Mobilization Forces from the Haditha district, who successfully carried out an operation about two weeks ago, resulting in the elimination of an ISIS leader in Al-Jazira and several of his aides. This operation also led to the martyrdom and injury of Iraqi service members.

Al-Sudani began the meeting by reciting Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs who bravely sacrificed their lives at the Iraqi border. He addressed the service members of the Anbar Popular Mobilization Forces, expressing pride in their heroic and honorable actions in targeting terrorist leaders. He emphasized that such resilience is not unfamiliar to the people of Haditha, who have shown steadfastness in the face of terrorism.

The Prime Minister affirmed the government's unwavering support for the security services, including the Popular Mobilization Commission. He assured that the government and the relevant authorities will provide support for the Anbar Popular Mobilization Forces.

This support aims to strengthen the Anbar Popular Mobilization Forces in their ongoing fight against terrorism and enhance their contribution to overall security efforts. Their effectiveness persists despite challenging terrain, which remains a stronghold for terrorist remnants.

Prime Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining vigilance and readiness due to terrorism exploiting the domestic and regional political situation. He highlighted the imminent threat of terrorist attacks that require a strong response. He underscored our significant responsibility in maintaining operational effectiveness and seizing the opportunity to eliminate the remnants of ISIS forcefully.
