The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) summoned on Saturday, the Chargé d'Affairs of the United States Embassy in Baghdad.
“In protest against the American aggression that targeted Iraqi military and civilian sites, MOFA will summon the Chargé d’Affaires of United States Embassy in Baghdad, David Berker, due to the absence of the American Ambassador," MOFA stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
This step came to deliver an official note of protest regarding the American attack that targeted military and civilian sites in the Akashat and Al-Qaim regions yesterday evening, Friday, 02/02/2024," The statement added.
